Shannon ABC evolved from a merger between Natural Products Research Centre (NPRC) based at the Institute of Technology, Tralee and the Nutraceuticals Research Centre (NRC) at the Limerick Institute of Technology. Shannon ABC has an ongoing and expanding programme to explore natural products for novel bioactive substances of value to the Healthcare, Forensic, Pharmaceutical, Food, Cosmetics, Agricultural, Environmental and Bio-Energy Industry. Shannon ABC was established following the award of core funding through Enterprise Ireland’s Applied Research Enhancement Programme.

Shannon ABC has a wide spectrum of Start-Up, SME and Multinational company engagements and collaborations.
